Tis the season-Part 2

The holiday season brought a lot of cookie orders this year. A friend I met through our daughter’s preschool contacted me to make decorated cookies for her husband’s clients. She wanted a variety of holiday themed cookies, so we went with Christmas trees, snowflakes and ornaments.

The swirly tree is a design I used for last years cookies. Very fun and very whimsical.

Tis’ the season-Part 1

The holiday is here and my head was flowing with lots of ideas this year. I bumped into a friend from my women’s club, Mary G., at a local function. She was having holiday party the following week and wanted to see if I could make some cookie ornaments with gold accents. She trusted my creativity and let me go from there. Unfortunately, when someone gives me the chance to create from scratch, I end up making so many different designs that I can’t stop.

I ended up making 75 unique cookies. I used sugar crystals to give some of them a 3D look. And if you can tell, all the yellow part are hand painted with gold peal dust.

This was definitely a fun project and I couldn’t pick just one favorite so I picked 24 favorites.
